...and I just got back from sledding with my Bro and his friend, Kody. So here's the story.
I spent all day shopping, learning how to make a layout, crocheting, and wasting my life on facebook. Before I knew it, it was 11:00 pm and I felt like I wasted a day of my life. I wanted to do something crazy. I went in to where Taylor and Kody were playing video games and said, "Guys I want to go sledding!" Hoping they'd be up for it. There were just a few minor problems..
1. We don't have any sleds.
2. It's freezing cold outside.
3. Rohmer Park is a park, so it's closed at 10.
The first problem was fixed easily with a huge shovel and three of my mom's cookie sheets (ssshhhh...that's a secret. But if you happen to read this mom, don't worry. We fixed all the dents as soon as we got home it only took a swift whack of a hammer!) The second problem wasn't even a legit problem. The remedy: put on coats! But the third was the major-ist of the three "minor" problems. Even though the park closes at 10 I was pretty sure we'd be able to sneak in without the cops knowing or if we did have a run in with them, hopefully we'd have already got a few sled (shovel) rides in before we were kicked out of the park.
We got all bundled up and drove to Rohmer--the biggest steepest hill we know of around here. From past experience, I knew that if there was a cop at the park they would be parked in the lower part. I decided to take us on a quick drive down there just to make sure there wasn't a cop hiding. Low and behold, there was a sneaky bugger of a sheriff sitting in his truck just waiting for us to jump out and make felons of ourselves. We drove past him, I waved, and we left.
We were going to go sledding if it was down the middle of a street somewhere. We were determined to try out our rides. We drove through neighborhoods and more neighborhoods looking for a gold mine of a hill. That was pretty unproductive, until Kody had the brilliant idea to go to the hospital. On the North West of McKay Dee, right off 40th are a few hills to fill anyone's spontaneous need to sled. Our inventive rides worked like a charm...with the help of a little cooking spray:) It was fun. It was crazy. It made my day!
Just for future reference, does anyone know of some killer hills around Ogden?

I hear there's a good hill at Rohmer Park. Also, there are some good ones by Mckay Dee.
I'll have to try those out sometime...
