I like to dress up.
I'm also (as of last tuesday) 20 years old. That might be an embarassing thing for people my age to reveal, but not me. I love to dress up and I love when my friends will dress up with me! For my 20th birthday party (yes, I threw myself a birthday party :) ) we had a tea party and I talked everyone into dressing the part. We got all dolled up, talked with British accents because it seemed like the right thing to do, and even ate cucumber sandwiches! Oh, and we played croquet! It was such a fun day. I'm glad that I have friends who will let go of their insecurities or pride and dress up with me! We looked quite ravishing don't you think?

Most Recent Desitnation: Lake Powell
It was a spurt of the moment decision to go to Powell with some friends from Snow College. I didn't think I would actually be able to because I didn't have the $100 dollars. But after doing some chores for my family, I made enough money to go. We got into trouble, might have broken a law or two, and we laughed until we couldn't laugh any more. It was fun just being weird together and spending the week in the houseboat. Here's the crew:

Why it's hard...
to be sane.
The semester is almost half over and already I'm thinking, "How am I going to make it?" Trying to balance 17 credits, a leadership position, and a calling in my church can be downright hard. I have never been so worn out. But I've also never felt so productive. I just wish there was an easier way to do all the things I want and need to do. I wish I had more time to spend with people instead of always being in a hurry, or trying to meet a deadline, or doing something important. So, just to give you a taste of my life, here is the schedule of a typical Wednesday (and every other day is very similar, if not worse, than my Wednesdays)
7:30 Wake up, get ready, eat breakfast.
8:30-3:30 Go to class, office hours, and tutoring at the Junior High.
(12:30-ish Take an hour to eat, study scriptures, finish some homework.)
4:00 Meetings
6:00 More Meetings
8:00 Study, get off my feet, dinner, visit girls from church.
10:00 Waterpolo games!
11:00 Shower, go to sleep.
I feel like I am constantly in a hurry. I hardly have a chance to slow down and breathe. I feel like I am always trying to catch up with my life. I need to find a way to be more in control. I keep telling myself only a few more months before the Summer...but that just seems so far away. I mean, I love the experiences I have and the things I learn about myself, but when does a girl catch a break? What do I do when I can't do much of anything to change the fact that I love everything I'm doing? I persevere.
