I was listening to this song and jamming out to it today and all I could think was..Dude...This has me written all over it--Kamilla, aka starting things I know I shouldn't and then after I start them, I can't decide whether I want them or not; The insecurities of relationships, and the jealousy that I feel after them; Longing for something I know I can't have; and in the end, realizing that no matter how things might have ended, I learned so many things going through it. Maybe I completely misinterpreted the song, but no matter what I heard it say, it was quite reassuring. (If you want to listen to it, it's the first song on my playlist on the right side of my page.)
Where I Stood-Missy Higgins
I don't know what I've done
Or if I like what I've begun
But something told me to run
And honey you know me it's all or none
There were sounds in my head
Little voices whispering
That I should go and this should end
Oh and I found myself listening
'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood
See I thought love was black and white
That it was wrong or it was right
But you ain't leaving without a fight
And I think I am just as torn inside
'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood
And I won't be far from where you are if ever you should call
You meant more to me than anyone I ever loved at all
But you taught me how to trust myself and so I say to you
This is what I have to do
'Cos I dont know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should
And I don't know if I could stand another hand upon you
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood
Oh, she who dares to stand where I stood

The word is getting around!
So here's what happened...One of my neighbors mom's friends told my friend's mom about Cheri's senior pics. (Did you follow that? ha) She had seen them on facebook and saw that I had taken them. My friend's mom was having trouble finding a photographer to take her son's senior pics and her friend told her about the pictures she'd seen and that she should ask me to take her son's...So she did! Brandon (my friend with the mom), me and Cheri (for moral support), drove out to 25th street to take some crazy cool pictures for Brandon's graduation announcements. Here are some of my favorites..

He just doesn't get it...
I can't believe I haven't told this story to you guys yet! It happened to me about a week ago. I hope it makes you laugh as much as it does me...
Place: Writing Lab.
People Involved: Creepy Dillon and yours truly.
Story:
There's this creepy kid, we'll call him Dillon (because that's his name) and he has been pestering me all year to go on a date with him. I'm not so keen on the idea, because, well, he's creepy. I've become very talented at blowing him off though.
So there I am in the lab typing up my last assignment of the year. I'm anxious to get it done so that I can go home and start packing. It's going good, until half way through I get writer's block. I sit back in my chair to think things out. I glance through the row of computers and there's creepy Dillon, eyeing me down. I sit up again and start typing nonsense just so he thinks I'm busy and that I can't talk.
He doesn't get the hint.
I consider running, but I really need to get the paper done, so I just keep typing. He says "Hi Kamilla. Why don't you ever talk to me anymore."--The same thing he says every time he talks to me. He starts asking me all these questions about my plans for the Summer, where I'm from, and what there is to do around where I live. I answer all his questions, but keep my answers to one word at the most.
Again, he doesn't get the hint.
He finally asks the dreaded, yet fully anticipated question, "Do you want to go on a date, sometime?" Yuck. I don't say anything, because I knew that if I say anything I'll just end up hurting his feelings...I mean, if creepy guys have feelings...
He didn't get the hint.
In fact, he thought I didn't hear him because he asked me again and then again. I knew I couldn't just sit there--how awkward would that be, not to mention he'd probably keep asking until I answered. All I could say was "I heard you."
I don't know what it was, but when I said that he got this look in his eyes like he finally understood why I was being so evasive. I thought, "It's about time you got the hint."
But he didn't get the hint.
He said, "you have a boyfriend, don't you? Girls never say anything when they have a boyfriend." I couldn't help myself. I just had to mess with him, because he was creepy and he deserved it. I looked at him and said "Yeah I do. Sorry." Of course, I don't have a boyfriend. Not even anything close. But now Dillon thinks I do. I was laughing so hard inside. I had lied to his face--something I had never deliberately done to anyone, EVER! And I had done it for my own amusement...at least he finally got the hint!
Oh and I got an A on my paper!
Moral of the story:
It's ok to lie as long as it makes for a good story and as long you get your assignment done.
